Time and Talents - Volunteer to assist with worship

In Our Community

Members of Celebration participate in many activities in our community. All are invited to join us as we share our gifts with those around us.

Valley View Food Bank - 1st Saturday of each month. 10am - 12pm. All ages are welcome as we sort, bag and prepare portions of food for those that need it in our community. It’s a fun time of fellowship & a great family project. All ages and abilities are welcome! Valley View Food Bank is located at 11115 W. Nevada Avenue in Youngtown.

Arizonan's For Children - Volunteer to assist Arizonan's for Children. AFC uses our facilities to help families who are separated by court order to have an opportunity to spend time together as a family in a safe location.

Mission of the Month - February

  • Arizonans for Children - this month we will be providing Arizonans for Children (AFC) with a monetary donation. Please contribute to this worthy organization.

Volunteer at Alta Loma Elementary School - spend time with students grades K-8. Contact Pastor Paul for more information.

Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk - support the team through donations, prayers, or volunteering to assist at the annual event.

Prayer ShawlThis ministry meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Lutheran Thrift Shop - 10737 W. Peoria, Sun City, AZ 85351 (on the southwest corner of 107th Ave. & Peoria behind the Walgreens).  Our ministry provides prayer shawls and prayer squares to those in need of spiritual renewal, physical healing and for celebrations in life.  Whether you are an experienced knitter/crocheter or a beginner we invite all to gather so that we may be a blessing to others as God has been a blessing to us.  If you would like to learn don’t be shy ... we even have left handed talent in our group!  Please bring any completed shawls or squares to the meeting so that we may pray over them before they are given to someone.  For questions please contact Karrie Waggoner at 602-316-5207.

Fill the Can with Cans!
Everyday people go to bed hungry. Everyday a big plastic can sits in the Narthex at Celebration waiting for your non-perishable food donation. Food donations are collected and delivered weekly to the Valley View Community Food Bank for distribution to the hungry families in our community. The food banks always runs short of canned fruit, canned tomato products (whole, diced, and puree), spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, tuna, breakfast cereal, spaghetti, macaroni, rice, and macaroni & cheese. You can make a difference on your next shopping trip by picking up some extra canned goods for those less fortunate. They also accept financial donations if you hate to shop!
